Hello World

audio responsive Max 7 Program, iMacs.

For Hello World, an after-hours computer lab was brought to life by feeding its computers with a custom program. The program accessed the speech synthesis capabilities of each computer and fed them a random assortment of customer service scripts, Walt Whitman verses, and craigslist “personals” postings. The computers would then respond to each others call channeling randomized human and nonhuman avatars.
